The NGCAA is an independent, non-profit making association providing legal and administrative advice & support to member golf clubs.
It is supported by a number of specialist Solicitors, Barristers & Industry Professionals
Michael Shaw LLM was appointed as National Secretary in September 2001 and promoted to Chief Executive in October 2007.
He has a unique set of skills and qualifications suitably qualifying him for the role
of Secretary to the National Golf Clubs’ Advisory Association.
He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1971 and was engaged mainly in Criminal and Civil litigation work. From 1989 up until his appointment as National Secretary he held an academic post delivering law based courses to undergraduate post graduate and students of professional bodies.
He contributes articles regularly to a variety of golf industry publications and lectures on training courses run by National golfing bodies.
He holds a Masters degree in Law and a range of teaching and work place assessment qualifications.
In addition, Michael is a Nationally Trained Mediator and is regularly involved in the resolution of disputes arising in sport and sport related organizations.
